My name is Theofanis (Theo) & I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts to Greek parents as a first generation American. Born & raised in Lowell, I was able to witness first hand the beauty of ethnic diversity. Having discovered my love for football (soccer) at a young age, I took to the streets and local parks to play any chance that I could with anybody that would. This quickly introduced me to the melting pot known as Lowell. Up the street from where I lived was a field known as “South Common”. A big field full of nothing but rocks, dirt & soccer players. Players from Africa, the middle east, Asia, South America, and Europe all in one place, with football being the common language spoken among them. That park is where I discovered how much more than a game football really is.
